The only thing I can fault about this book is the occasional editing/formatting issues. Even then, it didn't matter because it was such a fun book to read.This is about a young lady in the working class who is strong with many talents but with a bad luck streak. Rescued by the prince and his grandmother, she continues to grow and improve herself. I loved the characters, plot, and setting. I hated to come to it's end, but if it was longer, it would have been too long.
This book may be for you if you love Cinderella type stories with a twist, or a good, charming, clean, romantic story. I found this book to be light enough to ease the stresses of the day, with enough action to keep it interesting. My kind of book!

This book had me on the seat of my chair from begining to end! The story was so intriguing and told so sweetly that I could not put it down. Callum and Ryla's love is something that cannot occur between two different stations in life. Her determination and strength to stay away from Callum and forget about her love for him, compelled to me and drew me in, I could not help but feel her sorrow, frustrations and anger. How many times in my life have I loved someone I could not have? Great story!
3 star was given due to the fact that the formatting of the story was distracting. Font size and font continually changed within a given paragraph. There were some grammer errors, and the most devasting of all was the ending. The story was abruptly cut off!! I felt bereft when I turned the page with my goofy grin and my wings soaring above the clouds to find a 1 on the last page...there was no closure to Callums and Rhyla's story. What happened to Martin? Master Thomas? Kurt was brought in so abruptly I thought there was to be more of him in the story? Was there a happily ever after? There should have been some type of epilogue.
Other than this I highly recommend, it's a good clean story for anyone to read...
for some reason I did not read enough to really do a review so not fair to give my opinion it was free and maybe the mood I was in at the time I picked it and deleted from my books before I really read it
This book was not what I thought. But I was pleasantly surprised. I love a strong h, and that I was I got.
This was an interesting read. It is very rare that I will read a book and start reading the same book a second time even though I have 80 other books in my TBR pile. I loved the heroine she was very strong and did not allow the general view of women to prevent her doing things differently. This book is a reminder of how far we have come in terms of an education being avaiable for all, being able to read in those days was not the norm. It also pointed to the fact that women were sometimes viewed as objects by some narrow minded individuals.
I loved Callum's grandmother she worked at getting the couple together without being obvious. She helped to remove all the obstacles that would prevent Callum and Rhyla getting together.
Happy ending but it arrived too soon. I would like to know more about them. The book lost points due to some editing and formatting issues.
